You were made to be strong. Your body is capable of far more than you imagine or attempt. Our modern society, however, does not always facilitate or encourage strength. When we resolve to start a fitness regimen, 1001 excuses readily present themselves. "I'm too busy." "I have bad genes." "I've suffered serious injury."
Critics slither out of the woodwork and project their own doubts and laziness on us. "There's no way that *insert famous guy's name* could get that jacked without juicing." "Why are you so strict about your nutrition? That's no fun." "Why would you want to get so muscular?"
I am intimately familiar with these and other challenges. As a full-time corporate attorney, I spend more time in an office hunched over a computer than anywhere else, and navigate a profession that does not incentivize physical prowess.
In spite of this, I have gotten bigger and stronger during some of the busiest and most stressful periods of my life (e.g., law school, studying for the bar, long hours as a paralegal and later as a junior associate at a big law firm). I have rehabbed and thrived after serious injury (including an inguinal hernia and torn ligaments in a twice-dislocated shoulder). I am not a freak of nature; rather, I have witnessed the returns that come from strategically deployed investments of sweat and grind.
I've launched this site because I believe in you and the untapped potential inside of you. Don't let your 9-5 uniform of a pressed button up and pleated slacks fool you. Let me push you to dig deep and equip you with practical tips to unleash the beast lurking beneath the surface.
